AfriYAN Rwanda converts youth energy, creativity, and aspirations into real social impact
The Research and Advocacy program focuses on improving the health and well-being of adolescents and youth in Rwanda, particularly in areas such as SRHR, education, gender equality, socio-economic empowerment, and leadership.
AfriYAN Rwanda strengthens the overall capacity of its member organizations to deliver high-quality, youth-friendly interventions. Through a holistic approach, the program empowers youth-led organizations and young leaders with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively address the diverse needs of adolescents and youth across Rwanda.

AfriYAN Rwanda is a youth-led network of 18+ youth organizations working to promote meaningful youth participation in health, education, gender equality, SRHR, leadership, and policy development across Rwanda.
Membership is open to youth-led organizations that align with AfriYAN’s mission and values. Individual young leaders can also engage through programs, workshops, campaigns, and volunteer opportunities.
AfriYAN runs several key programs, including:

AfriYAN uses a youth-to-policy pipeline that includes grassroots consultations, youth-led research, evidence-based advocacy, and direct engagement with government institutions to amplify youth perspectives in national decision-making.
